Title:
IMPROVED BENEFICIATION PROCESS FOR CONCENTRATION/CALCINATION OF ZINC SILICATE ORES AND MINERALS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002059386
Kind Code:
A8
Abstract:
This invention deals with the concentration process of zinc silicate based minerals, particularly willemite and calamine concentration, by single operations, including conventional steps of ore treatment, some of which comrpise the following: Preparation of stockpiles of different mineralogical and zinc content compositions, crushing screening, storage dense separation, washing, homogenization, magnetic separation, grinding, classification, rubbing, conditioning, flotation, thickening, filtering, calcination, storage and waste deposition. The process allows to obtain a uniform ore beneficiation concentrate at lower costs, regardless of the ores to be treated.
