Title:
IMPROVED BINDING SYSTEM FOR SKIS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF LIFTING THE TIP OF THE FOOTWEAR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/114319
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention describes a binding system for a ski, comprising a support structure mounted on a ski and bearing at least one binding for a boot, which support structure is adapted to take up a first operational configuration, in which it is rigidly mounted on the ski, and a second operational configuration, in which it is articulated to the ski along a transverse axis of rotation behind the boot and is capable of oscillating in a longitudinal plane orthogonal to the ski. The front end of the support structure is connected to the ski by means of a kinematic mechanism which forms a system for guiding the lifting travel of the structure. The binding system is provided with a locking mechanism adapted to switch between a first stable operational position in which the kinematic mechanism is locked, so that the support structure is rigidly bound on the ski, and a second stable operational position in which the kinematic mechanism is released, so that the support structure is capable of oscillating with respect to the ski. The support structure comprises a pair of parallel longitudinal beams, which are articulated at the front end to a pair of arms of the lifting guide system, so that the support structure and its associated lifting guide system define at least one light for removing the snow.
