Abstract:

A dielectric resonator system (100) having a dielectric element (102) and a purified alumina attachment assembly (106) both housed within a metallic resonant casing (104). Attachment assembly (106) is at least 99.5% pure alumina. Attachment assembly (106) couples dielectric element (102) to the casing (104). Dielectric element (102) is an internally threaded ring or disk. Attachment assembly (106) includes an externally threaded alumina support member (107) coupled to the internally threaded dielectric element (102).
