Abstract:

A method for deposition of an electrocatalyst layer by dispersing electrocatalyst particles in a liquid carrier to be deposited onto a surface by a direct write tool and then heating to form electrocatalyst layer is taught. Membrane electrode assemblies being fabricated using electrocatalyst particles to form at least one of the anode or cathode of the membrane electrode assemblies is also taught.
