Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved polyether ketone ketone production method and polyether ketone ketone produced thereby. More specifically, 1,4-diphenyl benzene or a mixture of 1,4-diphenyl benzene and diphenyl oxide is used as a reaction monomer to increase a crystallization rate of the polymerization reaction, thereby improving injection molding processability. In addition, the present invention relates to an improved polyether ketone ketone production method in which a capping agent is late added to the monomer upon polymerization to improve the flowability of the resin, and to polyether ketone ketone produced thereby. Provided according to the present invention is a polyether ketone ketone production method comprising the steps of: (a) adding at least one selected from among 1,4-diphenoxy benzene and 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene (EKKE), together with terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) and isophthaloyl chloride (IPC), to a liquid reaction mediator in a reactor and melting same simultaneously to prepare a reaction solution; (b) decreasing the temperature of the reaction solution, followed by feeding a catalyst thereto; (c) directly blowing inert gas into the reaction solution and stirring the reaction solution after the feeding of the catalyst; and (d) adding a first capping agent after the feeding of the inert gas. Therefore, the crystallization rate of the polymerization reaction is increased, thereby enhancing the injection molding processability and improving the flowability of the resin.
