Abstract:
A self-fusion-bonded loop surface fastener comprising a ground fabric composed of
fabric warp yarns (1, 2, 3, 4, 5...) and fabric weft yarns (11, 12, 13, 14...) and,
erected on one surface thereof, a multiplicity of loop engaging elements (P1,
P2, P3, P4) made of multifilament loop yarns (L1, L2) extending in the direction of
warp, the multifilament loop yarns (L1, L2) fixed to the ground fabric by fusion bonding
with the fabric weft yarns (11, 12, 13, 14...). In the loop surface fastener, the
fabric warp yarns (1, 2, 3, 4, 5...) and the multifilament loop yarns (L1, L2) are
arranged so as to avoid crossing with each other. By virtue of this fabric texture, the
fusion-bonding fixing of the multifilament loop yarns (L1, L2) to the ground fabric
is improved, so that the self-fusion-bonded loop surface fastener attains reduction
of yarn detachment, exhibiting excellent engaging/disengaging durability.
