Abstract:
The present invention discloses a solid absorbent bed (absorber) used in a solid absorbent refrigeration system, which comprises: a case; heat transfer plates provided in the case; solid sorbent closely against the heat transfer plates; a cold or heat source pathway connected to the heat transfer plates; and mass transfer pathways passing through the sorbent and having inlet and outlet on the case, wherein the sorbent is a carbon nanotube material, or a compound material of carbon nanotube, or a mixture material of carbon nanotube. The heat and mass transfer performance of the solid absorbent bed using such absorbent is enhanced significantly. Because it needs not to use heat conduction metal ribs (fins) of conventional art and to add heat conduction metal particles to the sorbent and the heat medium fluid pathways provided in conventional art can even be eliminated or reduced, the structure of the absorbent bed can be simplified, thereby the specific heat capacity of the absorbent bed is also decreased. The present invention further discloses an absorbent refrigeration system including the solid absorbent bed.
