Abstract:
The present invention relates to devices for pulse-feeding and pulverising fire-extinguishing substances, wherein said devices include an ejector tube (1) with a spring-loaded valve (23) at its outlet end (3), a pressurised-gas tank (4), a check-valve (6) and a retaining chamber (10) connected to the duct (11) for the gas. These devices provide high speed and energy levels and ensure the efficient pulverisation of the fire-extinguishing substances during their pulsed ejection due to the special shape of the inner cavity of the ejector tube (1), which is close to the profile of a Laval nozzle, and to the counter-pressure of the spring-loaded valve (23) or else, due to the rapidity of action of the check-valve (6) which is made in the shape of a hollow cylinder. The head (7) of the valve (6) closes the outlet opening (5) of the gas tank (4) on the outer side thereof so that the opening of said valve (6) results in the formation of annular slot in which the out-going gas flow is directed from the centre towards the outside. The surfaces of the device closed by the valve (6) include annular protrusions (30) which all together cause an avalanche effect upon opening of the check-valve (6) and ensure a rapidity of action of said valve which is lower than 1 millisecond. This system also provides for an automated or controlled operation mode of the device at the desired pulse frequency for ejecting the fire-extinguishing substances.
