Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application apply to the technical field of communications, and provide an IMS registration method, a terminal device and a storage medium. The terminal device receives a PDU session rejection message in a 5G network. The PDU session rejection message is used for indicating that IMS registration by the terminal device in the 5G network is rejected, and comprises a rejection cause value. When the terminal device falls back to a 4G network, and it is determined that no retry indication information is acquired and that the rejection cause value is a preset cause value, the IMS is registered in the 4G network. Since the terminal device can immediately initiate the IMS registration after falling back to the 4G network, the IMS registration rate is improved.
