An outer pipe (11), which is buried in the ground, is provided, and a heat transfer pipe (12), in the interior of which flows a fluid which is to undergo heat exchange, is inserted into said outer pipe (11). In addition, a heat carrier (13) is enclosed in the outer pipe (11). At least a portion of the heat transfer pipe (12) is configured by an oblate pipe (12e, 14) or by an oblate body (12e, …) comprised of a compound pipe (15) for which multiple pipes (15a) are aligned in an oblate shape; in addition, the oblate side of said oblate body (12e, …) contacts the inner circumferential face of the outer pipe (11).
