Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to facilitate an operation for inserting a plug into an in-vehicle connector with a lid, and to decrease the size of the in-vehicle connector. In the present invention, when a USB plug is inserted into an in-vehicle connector, the USB plug contacts the front surface of an upper shutter plate 18 and the front surface of a lower shutter plate 20. A body housing 12 is equipped with a mechanism by which the upper shutter plate 18, when the front surface of the upper shutter plate 18 is pushed, is raised and retracted while being maintained in a fixed posture, and once raised to a certain height, the upper shutter plate 18 is tilted so that the top side is positioned more forward than the bottom side. The body housing 12 is also equipped with a mechanism by which the lower shutter plate 20, when the front surface of the lower shutter plate 20 is pushed, is lowered and retracted while being maintained in a fixed posture, and once lowered to a certain height, the lower shutter plate 20 is tilted so that the bottom side is positioned more forward than the top side. The shutter plates each receive the USB plug with a plug insertion opening 14 being opened.
