Abstract:
There is a problem that when a crossing is controlled according to only the position of a train, if the train is slower than assumed, the time taken by the train to reach the crossing becomes longer than assumed, resulting in a long crossing warning time. There is also a problem that when the time taken by the train to reach the crossing is calculated in consideration of the speed and performance of the train, a calculation load becomes high. Therefore, in order to appropriately control crossing warning time, it is necessary to construct an in-vehicle control device capable of ensuring a necessary crossing warning time using a method requiring a low calculation load. Thus, an elapsed time T1 from the start of crossing warning is monitored, and the elapsed time T1 is subtracted from a necessary warning time T3 to calculate the remaining warning time T4. Further, an average speed Vave is calculated by dividing the remaining distance L from the present position of the train to the crossing by T4. When the present speed of the train is higher than V, the train is decelerated, thereby preventing the train from reaching the crossing until the necessary warning time T3 elapses.
