Abstract:
An in-vehicle display device is mounted on a vehicle and presents to a watcher riding on the vehicle a video included in the light flux reflected on the front glass portion of the vehicle by overlapping the video with a background image in front of the vehicle. The in-vehicle display device comprises: a vehicle speed acquisition unit for acquiring the speed of the vehicle; a position estimation unit for estimating an after-movement position after the vehicle has moved, based on the speed acquired by the vehicle speed acquisition unit; and a video projection unit for reflecting on the front glass portion of the vehicle the light flux having the video including a figure expressing the speed and projecting toward the watcher riding on the vehicle. The video projection unit arranges at least part of the figure in a first region within the video corresponding to the after-movement position in the background. The vehicle speed is displayed so as to be easily recognized, which makes it possible to assist safer vehicle driving.
