Abstract:
A control device controls a drive circuit (10) for driving an in-vehicle electric motor (2) according to the output voltage of a DC power supply (3), a capacitor (20) for stabilizing the output voltage is disposed between the DC power supply and the drive circuit, and a relay switch (50) is provided between the DC power supply and the capacitor. The control device is equipped with: an abnormality determination device (64) for determining whether an abnormality has occurred in a vehicle or not; and a discharge control device (63) for, when the abnormality determination device determines that the abnormality has occurred in the vehicle, controlling the drive circuit to allow the electric motor to generate a torque according to the output voltage of the capacitor while the relay switch is opening the connection between the DC power supply and the capacitor.
