Abstract:
An in-wheel motor drive device (21) is configured in such a manner that a speed reduction section (B) is provided with: a speed reducer input shaft (25) having eccentric sections (25a, 25b); curved plates (26a, 26b) rotatably held on the outer peripheries of the eccentric sections (25a, 25b); outer pins (27) engaging with the outer peripheral sections of the curved plates (26a, 26b) and causing the curved plates (26a, 26b) to rotate; and an outer pin holding member (60) for holding the outer pins (27). The outer pin holding member (60) and a casing (22) support one end and the other end of each support pin (70), and as a result, the outer pin holding member (60) is supported by the casing (22) so as not to be rotatable. The support pins (70) are formed from hardening steel and has a hardened layer (H) formed by carburizing, quenching, and tempering.
