Abstract:
This in-wheel motor drive device (10) is equipped with a wheel hub bearing (11), a motor (21) and a speed reduction part (31) that are disposed so as to be offset upward relative to the axis of the wheel hub bearing (11), and a carrier (101) that protrudes further downward than the wheel hub bearing (11). A suspension coupling portion (101c) for coupling a suspension device (116) in a manner permitting movement in any direction is provided to the bottom end of the carrier (101). The suspension coupling portion (101c) is disposed so as to overlap the wheel hub bearing (11) in terms of the axial-direction position of the wheel hub bearing (11).
