Abstract:
This in-wheel motor drive device (10) comprises: a vehicle wheel hub bearing (11) having an inner race (12), an outer race (13), and a plurality of rolling elements disposed in an annular gap between the inner race and the outer race, the hub bearing being accommodated in an inner empty region of a load wheel (W) of a vehicle wheel; a motor rotating shaft that drives the inner race; and a hub attachment (61) having a smaller diameter than the load wheel (W), accommodated in the inner empty region of the load wheel (W), secured to the outer race (13) by a first bolt (62), and secured to a body casing (39) by a second bolt (15).
