Abstract:
An in-wheel motor drive device (10) according to the present invention, wherein a speed reduction part (31) is a parallel shaft gear reducer and includes a plurality of gear shafts (A1-A3) that extend in parallel to one another, one (A1) of the gear shafts is joined to a rotation shaft of a motor part (21), one (A3) of the gear shafts is joined to a wheel hub of a wheel hub bearing part (11), the remaining (A2) gear shaft reduces the speed of the rotation of the motor part (21) and transmits the result to the wheel hub, the in-wheel motor drive device (10) further comprises a parking gear (51) that is attached to one of the plurality of gear shafts (A1-A3), a parking pole (52) that has a protrusion (52a) to engage with a recess (51a) of the parking gear (51), and a moving member that can move the parking pole (52) to a locked position of engagement with the recess (51a) and to a lock release position of non-engagement, and the parking gear (51), the parking pole (52), and the moving member are housed in an interior of a housing.
