Abstract:
One aspect of this in-wheel motor is provided with: a motor part having a rotor and a stator; a decelerator part that is connected to the rotor so as to decelerate rotation of the rotor; a case that is fixed to a vehicle and that has an accommodation portion accommodating the motor part and the decelerator part; and a wheel that is connected to the decelerator part. The rotor includes: an input shaft extending along the center axis; rotor magnets; and a rotor holder holding the input shaft and the rotor magnets. The rotor holder includes: a cylindrical section having an outer circumferential surface to which the rotor magnets are fixed; and a disc section which is positioned in one opening in the cylindrical section and to which the input shaft is fixed. The decelerator part includes: a sun gear provided on the outer circumferential surface of the input shaft; a plurality of planetary gears; a ring gear; a plurality of carrier pins supporting the plurality of planetary gears, respectively; and a carrier holding the plurality of carrier pins. At least one of the planetary gears is accommodated in the radial inner side of the cylindrical section.
