Abstract:
An in-wheel motor is mounted in a floating manner on an unsprung portion of a vehicle
with a dynamic vibration absorber (20) placed on the side face side of an electric
motor (10) that is coupled with the knuckle (5). The dynamic vibration absorber
(20) has a motor installation member (21) installed on the side face side of a motor
case (10a) of the electric motor (10), a knuckle installation member (22) installed
on the knuckle (5), a spring member (23) for coupling together the motor installation
member (21) and the knuckle installation member (22), two guide members (24,
24) for vertically guiding the direction of operation of the spring member (23),
and a damper (25) placed in parallel with the guide members (24, 24). The construction
above enables a stroke to be greater and the mass of the motor is allowed to operate
stably as the mass of a dynamic damper.
