Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an inexpensive means by which an inactivation effect on microorganisms can be exhibited without the need for light to be present, while minimizing the burden on the environment. [Solution] A compound having the following redox mechanism is brought into contact with an object, which is likely to be contaminated due to bacteria or viruses, to inactivate the bacteria or viruses. In the formula, X- is a counter anion, and the broken line represents a bonding position to another atom.
