Abstract:
Provided are an indicator with a simple configuration and a position detection device, the contact of the indicator with a detection plane being detectable by the position detection device.
An indicator (10) is used for a position detection device (20) which can detect the position indicated by the indicator by detecting the change of the degree of electromagnetic coupling between a drive-side loop line group and a detection-side loop line group (220, 230) of a detection plane (21). The indicator is provided with a fixed magnetic member (11) and a movable magnetic member (12) which are produced from a magnetic material. The movable magnetic member (12) is movable with respect to the fixed magnetic member (11), and the distance therefrom to the fixed magnetic member (11) changes when the indicator comes into contact with the detection plane. The position detection device (20) detects the contact of the indicator (10) with the detection plane (21) on the basis of the change of the degree of electromagnetic coupling caused by the change of the distance between the fixed magnetic member (11) and the movable magnetic member (12).
