Abstract:
The present invention relates to an indicator configured such that whether frozen food and food materials that are stored or circulated frozen have been thawed or not can be identified easily, conveniently, and visually. More particularly, the present invention relates to an indicator wherein a subacid solution is placed in a plastic tube; the same is sealed, attached to a packing material, and is connected to a blue litmus test paper; and thawing of food fractures the sealing part of the tube and elutes the frozen subacid solution, which then turns the blue litmus test paper into red, thereby making it possible to identify whether the food has been thawed or not. The indicator attached to a packing material so as to facilitate visually identifying whether or not food has been thawed is advantageous in that the same can be easily manufactured at a low cost, and the same cannot be counterfeited/falsified unless as the original food packaging is disassembled. In addition, an embodiment of the present invention provides an indicator to be attached to a packing material of frozen food, the indicator comprising: a base film; an acidity identifying/indicating sheet attached to the upper surface of the base film; a thawing identifying/indicating sheet attached to the upper surface of the acidity identifying/indicating sheet; and a cover film that covers the upper surface of the thawing identifying/indicating sheet, a moisture passage area being formed on a part of the covered upper surface such that moisture can pass through the same.
