The present invention provides an individual package for an absorbent article, whereby a folded shape is easily formed and the individual package also readily returns to a planar shape. This individual package for an absorbent article is configured as described below. An individual package (1) for a napkin (2) is formed by folding a napkin (2) provided with an absorbent body (9) and having a longitudinal direction and a width direction together with a packaging sheet (3) at a folding line region (5) extending in the width direction, the absorbent body (9) has a one surface and another surface, the individual package (1) is provided with at least one slit part (12) formed by making a cut in the folding line region (5) from the one surface partway through the absorbent body (9) in the thickness direction thereof, the slit part (12) has an opening extending in the width direction in the one surface, and the absorbent body (9) is provided with a high-density part (15) in a position overlapping with at least the slit part (12) in the thickness direction of the absorbent body (9), the high-density part (15) being high-density in comparison with a portion not overlapping with the slit part (12) in the thickness direction of the absorbent body (9).
