Abstract:
Provided is a technology capable of simply performing individual verification with high accuracy by using information obtained from a hand of a person to be verified. A first camera (11) and a second camera (12) are oppositely arranged. A first image of the palm of the hand is obtained by the first camera (11). A second image of the back of the hand is obtained by the second camera (12). A memory (2) stores a first template data and a second template data for verification. A verification unit (3) performs the following processes. (1) A process of generating a first verification data from the shape of the palm pattern in the first image obtained by the first camera (11). (2) A process of generating a second verification data from the shape of the veins in the second image obtained by the second camera (12). (3) A process of performing individual verification by using the degree of similarity between the first verification data and the first template data and the degree of similarity between the second verification data and the second template data.
