Abstract:
An indoor unit (100) for an air conditioner is provided with a guide member (10), which is provided below an opening (2a) in a blower fan (2) through which air is discharged and upstream from a heat exchanger (4). The guide member (10) has a guide part (10a) disposed facing the upstream-side end surface (4a) of the heat exchanger (4), the guide part (10a) being a plate body in which a cross-section thereof taken in a plane that includes the axis of rotation (11) of the blower fan (2) exhibits a flat rectilinear shape toward the end surface (4a). Provided thereby is an indoor unit (100) for an air conditioner with which it is possible to more uniformly guide air from the blower fan (2) along the height direction of the heat exchanger (4) through use of a compact and inexpensive guide member (10).
