Abstract:
Provided is an indoor unit for an air conditioner, the indoor unit being configured so that the rubbing between a housing and a heat insulating material will be reduced and the source of a squeaky noise caused by the rubbing can be easily identified. An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided with: an indoor heat exchanger; a housing for accommodating the indoor heat exchanger and having outer shell side surfaces and an outer shell top surface; and a heat insulating material disposed on the inner surface of the housing and having a heat insulating material top surface and heat insulating material side surfaces, the heat insulating material side surfaces having formed thereon ribs protruding toward the outer shell side surfaces. The heat insulating material is configured so that the ribs thereof will be in contact with the housing.
