Abstract:
This indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided with a housing having an inlet and an outlet, a vertical air flow direction plate which is rotatably supported in the outlet, and an auxiliary air flow direction plate which is rotatably supported below and upstream of the vertical air flow direction plate. The vertical air flow direction plate comprises a planarly configured main blade part, and a planarly configured rear edge part formed upstream of the main blade part. The rear edge part is configured such that, in a state in which the main blade part is placed horizontally, said rear edge part is inclined above the main blade part towards the back surface of the housing and, defining the angle α as the angle formed between the main blade part and the rear edge part and the angle ε as the angle formed between the main blade part and the imaginary line passing through the center of the tip of the auxiliary air flow direction plate, the angle ε is greater than the angle α.
