Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner that can ensure the durability of a drive motor for a horizontal air flow adjustment unit. The indoor unit comprises a horizontal air flow adjustment unit that adjusts the angle of air blown from an outlet port in the longitudinal direction. The horizontal air flow adjustment unit comprises a plurality of horizontal air flow adjustment plates that are disposed with a specific interval therebetween in the longitudinal direction in an outlet channel by which a heat exchanger and the outlet port communicate, and a drive device that has a drive motor and that causes the plurality of horizontal air flow adjustment plates to swing by way of the power of the drive motor. A housing for the indoor unit has an accommodation chamber that communicates with an intake channel that is a channel by which an inlet port and the heat exchanger communicate and is separated from the outlet channel. The drive motor is accommodated in the accommodation chamber.
