Abstract:
This indoor unit for an air conditioner comprises: a housing that has, formed therein, an intake port for drawing in indoor air, an air outlet for blowing out the air drawn in from the intake port, and an accommodation space connected to the air outlet and accommodating an electrical component box; and a vertical wind direction plate that is provided on the housing so as to cover the air outlet and the accommodation space and adjusts the direction of the air blown out from the air outlet. The vertical wind direction plate is provided with a wind shield that blocks the air blown from the air outlet at the rear edge of the housing among the portions facing the accommodation space on the wind guide surface that guides the air blown out from the air outlet.
