Abstract:
The indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a case body which includes a side plate; a heat exchanger which is accommodated within the case body and which has an end section that faces the side plate; and a holding implement which holds the end section of the heat exchanger. The holding implement is equipped with: a first member that is composed of a resin material and couples the end section of the heat exchanger and the side plate; and a second member that is composed of a foamed plastic, that is interposed between the heat exchanger and the side plate, and that at least partially covers the first member.
