Abstract:
This induction-heating device comprises a heating coil, an inverter, and a control unit. The inverter has a switching element and supplies a high-frequency current to the heating coil. The control unit outputs a control signal having a variable pulse width for the switching element. In the initial operating period that includes the oscillation initiation point that initiates the output of the control signal, the control unit outputs a control signal having pulse widths that become gradually longer, including a pulse width whereby the switching element is not turned-on, and a pulse width whereby the switching element is turned-on. The present mode can prevent the occurrence of a pot vibration sound when the induction-heating device is being started, or, can reduce the pot vibration sound to a minimum.
