Abstract:
 An inductive heating device for a metal strip, provided with: an induction coil provided on one or both sides, in the plate thickness direction, of a metal strip travelling in the longitudinal direction, the induction coil forming, in the metal strip, an induction current forming a closed loop as viewed from the plate thickness direction of the metal strip when a primary current is passed through the induction coil; a plurality of magnetic cores arranged at prescribed positions facing each other in the plate thickness direction of the metal strip so as to be set apart by a prescribed distance from the metal strip, whereby the magnetic cores concentrate the magnetic flux generated by the induction coil; and a movement mechanism linked to the magnetic cores, the movement mechanism moving the magnetic cores to increase/decrease the number of magnetic cores arranged in the plate width direction of the metal strip at the prescribed positions.
