Abstract:
The present invention provides an industrial ring network communication device and a communication method therefor. Said device comprises: a first MAC port and a second MAC port, and a first storage unit, a first communication unit, and a second communication unit which are constructed on the basis of an FPGA. Said method comprises: the first communication unit determining, by using a source MAC address and a node table of the second communication unit, whether to discard an Ethernet message to be processed; if not, determining, according to a destination MAC address, whether to receive and/or forward said Ethernet message; if determining to receive, storing said Ethernet message into the first storage unit for reading by a CPU; if determining to forward, using, by means of the second communication unit, the second MAC port and the destination address to perform forwarding; and if determining to receive and forward, storing and forwarding said Ethernet message. The received data does not need to be transmitted between the MAC port and the CPU, reducing the running loads of the CPU and reducing the network delay; and respective units are constructed on the basis of FPGA, improving the data processing speed.
