Abstract:
An industrial robot controlling device high in safety capable of positively cutting off a release voltage application to a brake even when contact fusing occurs by receiving a release voltage to a brake by a plurality of contacts connected in series and by allowing at least one contact to work as a normally-open contact of a relay for controlling the drive power source of a motor, and an industrial robot controlling device which need not be provided with a power source for releasing a brake by the manual operation of an operator. An industrial robot (11) controlling device comprising an electromagnetic brake (23) that locks a motor shaft, wherein a first relay contact (24) closed when the electromagnetic brake (23) is released and a second relay contact (24) closed when a drive power is supplied to the motor are provided, and the first relay contact (24), the second relay contact (22), and the electromagnetic brake (23) are connected in series to the driving power source (27) of the electromagnetic brake (23).
