Abstract:
This industrial robot comprises: a rotary shaft (15) to which a base end side of an arm is fixed; a bearing (24) that rotatably supports the rotary shaft; a magnetic fluid seal device (18) that is arranged at an outer circumferential side of the rotary shaft; and a seal holding member (19) that holds the magnetic fluid seal device. The magnetic fluid seal device comprises: a housing (31) that holds a magnet and a pole piece; a magnetic fluid that is held between an inner circumferential surface of the pole piece and an outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft; and a second bearing (32) that is arranged between the housing and the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft. The seal holding member holds the housing such that, when the rotary shaft has tilted with respect to the bearing (24), the housing tilts in conformity with the tilt of the rotary shaft. The present invention can thereby maintain the function of the magnetic fluid seal device that is arranged at the outer circumferential side of the rotary shaft, even when the rotary shaft, to which an arm, etc. are fixed, tilts with respect to the bearing (24) that rotatably supports the rotary shaft.
