Abstract:
Provided is an industrial robot that transports an object to be transported. The industrial robot can prevent breakage of a belt that is arranged inside an arm, even if the object to be transported gets heavier. This industrial robot comprises: a hollow arm (6); two pulleys (37, 38) that are arranged inside the arm (6); a plurality of belts (60) that are strung across the two pulleys (37, 38) and that overlap in the axial direction of the pulleys (37, 38); and a tension adjustment mechanism that adjusts the tension of the plurality of belts (60).
