Abstract:
Provided is an industrial robot comprising: a hand onto which an object to be transferred is loaded; an arm to which the hand is rotatably connected at the distal end side thereof; a body part 7 to which the base end side of the arm is rotatably connected; and an installation member 8 for installing the body part 7 on a floor surface. The body part 7 comprises: an elevating body 20 in which the proximal end side of the arm is rotatably connected to an upper surface side; a casing 21 that holds the elevating body 20 so as to be able to move up and down and that accommodates at least a part of the lower end side of the elevating body 20; and an elevating mechanism 22 for raising and lowering the elevating body 20. In the industrial robot, the elevating mechanism 22 is accommodated in the casing 21 so as to overlap the elevating body 20 when viewed from the vertical direction.
