Abstract:
This catheter assembly (10) is provided with: an inner needle hub (22) which is provided on the proximal end side of an inner needle (20) having a needle point (18); and an indwelling catheter (12) through which the inner needle (20) is inserted. The indwelling catheter (12) is provided with a flexible catheter (14), a catheter hub (16) which is provided on the proximal end side of the catheter (14), a support section (40) which protrudes from the catheter hub (16), a connection section (42) which is provided at an end surface of the support section (40), and a protective section (32) which protrudes toward proximal end from the connection section (42), faces the outer peripheral surface of the proximal end section of the catheter hub (16) with a gap therebetween, and comes into contact with skin (S).
