Abstract:
An inflator having sufficient operational capability, achieving operational reliability and safety and being easy to produce. In a housing, a first passage for guiding operation energy of an igniter and a second passage for guiding a pressurizing medium to a gas exhaust opening are provided so that the two passages are arranged in a separated manner inside and outside two retainers having cylindrical peripheral wall portions placed adjacent to each other in an axial direction. A burst plate for sealing pressurizing-medium space is sandwiched and held between the two retainers adjacent to each other in the axial direction.
