Abstract:

A method for conducting a data communication with security even with a public telephone line which requires SIM and a multifunction information communication equipment for such a data communication. The information communication equipment is provided with a card mounting section (6A) for mounting a communication device (22) in the form of a card, an operating means (7) for executing various processes for the device (22), a displaying means (8) for displaying the contents and consequences of the operations conducted by the operating means (7), and a card inserting section (6B) for inserting a medium (9) in the form of a card which stores the information about line subscribers. After a data communication is conducted by the card-like communication device mounted on the card mounting section (6A), information about utilization of line is obtained and is written in the card-like medium.
