Abstract:
This information conversion device is used by a meteorological forecast system provided with a meteorological sensor and a meteorological model calculation device. The meteorological sensor generates meteorological data by observing meteorological elements. The meteorological model calculation device takes macrometeological forecast information and the meteorological data into a pre-constructed meteorological model, and by executing a simulation by means of the meteorological model, calculates meteorological model data forecasting local-region weather. The information conversion device is provided with an observation data conversion unit and a social model conversion unit. The observation data conversion unit receives observation data resulting from observing state quantities in social infrastructure, converts the received observation data to a form that can be reflected in the meteorological model, and transmits the converted data to the meteorological model calculation device. The social model conversion unit receives social model data simulating a forecast of the state quantities in the social infrastructure, converts the received social model data into a form that can be reflected in the meteorological model, and transmits the converted data to the meteorological model calculation device.
