Abstract:
Provided are: an information display device for displaying image information of a virtual image on the windshield of a vehicle; and an information display method for the same. This information display device is provided with: a display for displaying the image information; and a virtual image optical system for displaying the virtual image forward of the vehicle by reflecting the light emitted from the display onto the windshield. The virtual image optical system includes a concave mirror and an optical element. A reflective film is formed on the reflective surface of the concave mirror and an anti-hygroscopic protective film is formed on the reverse surface therefrom. The end surfaces connecting said two surfaces are configured as curved surfaces or inclined surfaces, and a film is also formed on the end surfaces to block moisture and prevent moisture from being absorbed by the plastic.
