Abstract:
To improve detection rate of types of musical instruments as compared with conventional methods by improving detection accuracy of sound producing positions within a musical composition. A sound-producing-position detection section (3) is provided, which uses a detection threshold value that is variable according to a speed (tempo) of a musical composition in order to detect a sound producing position of a musical instrument which plays the musical composition, by using a difference value of a residual power value obtained as a result of an LPC analysis over a musical composition data (Sin) which corresponds to the musical composition.
