Abstract:
Provided is an information management system which enables easy and certain acquisition of reference information which can be acquired on the basis of specification information, even if an existing link destination suddenly disappears. The information management system is provided with: a reading unit (3) which reads an image; a detection unit (5) which detects a character string from the image; a specification information acquisition unit (7) which acquires specification information from the character string; a reference information storage unit (9) which stores, in a particular location, reference information that can be acquired on the basis of the acquired specification information; and a link information attachment unit (10) which attaches link information of the particular location to the image. Reference information copied to the particular location can be viewed by reading the link information of the particular location attached to the image. The link information can also be a matrix-type two-dimensional code. The information management system may also be provided with: an update information acquisition unit which acquires post-update reference information when the reference information acquired on the basis of the specification information is updated; and an information update unit which updates the reference information of the reference information storage unit to the post-update reference information.
