Abstract:
Disclosed, as an example, is a control method for an information processing apparatus provided with a first storage means having a power limitation state where power supply is limited and an activation state where power is supplied, and a second storage means having an access speed higher than the first storage means, this control method being characterized by including: a determination step for determining whether it is necessary to use the first storage means on the basis of the remaining storage capacity enabling data to be stored in the second storage means; and a control step for setting the first storage means to be in the power limitation state while the data can be stored in the second storage means, and switching the state of the first storage means from the power limitation state to the activation state when it is determined, in the determination step, to be necessary to use the first storage means while the first storage means is in the power limitation state.
