Abstract:
An information processing apparatus multiplies a bandwidth available in communication with a client device by a round trip time of the communication to calculate the buffer size of a buffer provided in the client device. The information processing apparatus also integerizes a real number obtained by dividing the buffer size by a transmission data size set for the client device to calculate an integer value, and sets the integer value as a vacancy size. The information processing apparatus sets as a transmission interval a value obtained by dividing the round trip time by the integer value or a value obtained by dividing the transmission data size by the bandwidth. The information processing apparatus determines if the vacancy size is greater than a first value each time the transmission interval has elapsed, and if the vacancy size is greater than the first value, the information processing apparatus generates image data of a remote desktop screen to transmit to the client device and subtracts a second value from the vacancy size. The information processing apparatus adds the second value to the vacancy size each time it receives a response to the transmitted image data from the client device.
