Abstract:
Video content for introducing a product, for example, is presented by means of a thumbnail image on a web page. In this case, if an access user views the thumbnail image for the first time, an initial thumbnail image is used as a video presentation image in a determination period. If the access user views the thumbnail image for a second or subsequent time and has played back the video in the past, a thumbnail image presented at the time the video was played back is used as the video presentation image; if the access user has not played back the video, a thumbnail image other than the initial thumbnail image is used as the video presentation image. After the determination period has passed, if it is determined that the access user has not played back the video in the past, a thumbnail image having a high playback attraction function determined in the determination period is used as the video presentation image, and, regarding a video which the access user has played back in the past, a thumbnail image presented at the time of the playback of the video is used as the video presentation image.
