Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program that enables a line of sight of a partner in a video communication connecting a distant location to be more naturally grasped.
[Solution] An information processing apparatus is provided with: a reception unit that receives a captured image of a video communication partner from a communication destination apparatus; and a control unit that performs control so that the received captured image is displayed on a display unit. On the basis of information indicating that the communication partner in the captured image is looking at a user displayed at the communication destination apparatus, the control unit performs image processing on and displays the captured image in such a manner that the line of sight of the communication partner in the captured image seems to be directed at the user looking at the display unit.
