Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve both stability in estimating the distance to a target object and suppression of power consumption. [Solution] This information processing apparatus is provided with: a first estimating unit which estimates the distance between an object in real space and a predetermined view point on the basis of a detection result of light which has been reflected from the object after being projected toward the object from a predetermined light projection part; a second estimating unit which estimates at least any one among the position and orientation of the predetermined view point in real space on the basis of the estimated result of the distance; and a control unit which, according to the estimated situation of said at least one among the position and orientation, controls the light projected from the light projection part.
